Trump Media Transfers 2,650 Bitcoin to Crypto.com as Remaining Wallet Tops $530 Million
Trump Media & Technology Group, or TMTG (Nasdaq: DJT), built its core business around Truth Social before raising about $2.4 billion through equity and convertible notes in 2025 to establish a Bitcoin treasury. Crypto.com and Anchorage Digital serve as its custody partners. The strategy has closely tied the company’s balance sheet to cryptocurrency prices, making it a key case study in the adoption of Bitcoin reserves by U.S.-listed companies.
On May 22, 2026, on-chain data showed that a TMTG-linked wallet transferred 2,650 Bitcoin, worth about $205 million, to Crypto.com. The original wallet still held 6,889 Bitcoin worth about $533 million. The company said the assets had “been transferred but not sold,” indicating a custody or trading arrangement rather than direct evidence of an increase in holdings. It had previously reported nearly $244 million in unrealized digital-asset losses for the first quarter and a quarterly net loss of $405.9 million.
