More Than 1,000 Global Banking Leaders to Gather in London as AI Moves into Execution
The global banking industry faces mounting regulatory requirements as Big Tech companies and digital challengers reshape customer expectations, elevating AI from an experimental tool to a central part of operational transformation. The Banking Transformation Summit will bring together institutions including HSBC, Barclays, JPMorgan, Citi and UBS to focus on practical issues such as AI, intelligent infrastructure, trust and customer experience.
The Fintech Times reported on April 24, 2026, that the summit was scheduled for May 19–20 in London, with more than 1,000 senior leaders expected to attend. The event will encompass more than 170 banks and building societies, over 150 speakers and 40 exhibitors. Attendees will come from six continents, with about three-quarters representing banks or building societies, indicating that AI has entered the large-scale execution phase.
