KGI Securities Adopts TDCC’s Online Financial-Data Transfer Service

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-09 · Last active 2026-07-09

Taiwan’s securities industry is accelerating its digital transformation as the Financial Supervisory Commission advances its FinTech Development Roadmap 2.0. Investors previously had to submit physical proof of financial resources across institutions when opening margin accounts or adjusting limits, making the process cumbersome and less secure. Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation’s online financial-data transfer service removes barriers to data sharing among brokerages, marking a key milestone in Taiwan’s push for paperless green finance and more efficient securities services.

KGI Securities said on July 16, 2026, that it had become one of the first brokerages in Taiwan to launch the service. Investors can now transmit proof of financial resources instantly between brokerages online. The service cuts the time needed to open a margin account or adjust a trading limit from one to three business days to as little as a few minutes, significantly improving brokerage review efficiency and the investor experience.
