L'Oréal Taiwan Teams Up With NVIDIA and OpenAI on AI-Powered Beauty Experiences
L'Oréal Taiwan, which has operated in the market for 35 years, is transforming from a traditional cosmetics business into a beauty-tech company. Consumers interact with more than six information channels on average over seven to 11 days before making a purchase. Online discussion of “beauty technology” rose 198% year on year in 2025, underscoring how generative AI, big data and intelligent diagnostics have become central to brands' ability to deliver personalized services.
At its 35th-anniversary event on June 25, 2026, L'Oréal Taiwan outlined its progress. In 2025, it worked with NVIDIA to connect CREAITECH with NVIDIA AI Enterprise. At VIVATECH in 2026, it also partnered with OpenAI on content generation and GPT-Rosalind research. In Taiwan, the company introduced skin-condition assessments drawing on nearly 3 million data points and a simulation of 15 years of aging. The value of the partnerships was not disclosed.
