Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission is phasing in greenhouse-gas inventories and disclosures by paid-in capital under its Sustainable Development Roadmap for Listed Companies, in support of the country’s net-zero policy. The initiative is intended to help companies assess carbon-emissions risks and gradually align with IFRS sustainability disclosure standards and international capital-market requirements.

The FSC said 1,763 listed and over-the-counter companies must complete greenhouse-gas inventory disclosures in 2026. They include more than 1,600 companies with paid-in capital of NT$5 billion or less. The policy is expected to cover all listed and over-the-counter companies in 2027, completing the inventory rollout.
