Crypto Heavyweights Raise Bets as Market Eyes Rebound
Crypto companies are stepping up digital-asset accumulation as Bitcoin and Ether show early signs of stabilizing after months of weakness. Strategy and BitMine Immersion Technologies remain at the center of the corporate-treasury trade, using access to capital and long-term reserve strategies to bet on a rebound. The renewed buying underscores confidence in crypto’s outlook, though sharp price swings continue to leave balance sheets exposed to potentially large unrealized losses.
A report published April 24 said Strategy bought 34,164 Bitcoin for $2.54 billion at an average price of about $74,395, lifting its holdings to 815,061 tokens and total spending above $61.5 billion. BitMine purchased 101,627 Ether, its largest acquisition since December, taking its position to nearly 5 million ETH as it pursues a target of owning about 5% of supply. Separately, Japanese institutions began testing government bonds as collateral on the Canton Network, while a US Senate review of the CLARITY Act slipped from April to May.
