Jensen Huang Tells Carnegie Mellon Graduates AI Revolution Offers Chance to Transform the World

Jensen Huang co-founded NVIDIA in 1993, and the company has grown from a graphics-chip maker into a core provider of AI infrastructure, with fiscal 2026 revenue of $215.9 billion. Carnegie Mellon University is renowned for its computer science and robotics research. On May 10, 2026, Huang delivered the keynote address at Carnegie Mellon’s 128th commencement and received an honorary doctorate in science and technology. He said the graduates were beginning their careers at the outset of the AI revolution and should use tools capable of learning and reasoning to build the future themselves. AI, he said, would make "intelligence" broadly accessible, fuel a revival of physical industries and scientific discovery, and put a new generation back on a more level starting line.
