Agility Robotics Eyes US SPAC Listing as Neng-Li Asia Adds Investment
Agility Robotics is a US humanoid-robotics startup best known for Digit, a bipedal machine designed for logistics and manufacturing work. Digit has been introduced at Amazon’s logistics operations and Toyota’s manufacturing facilities, giving the company an early commercial foothold as businesses seek automation to ease labor shortages and improve warehouse and factory productivity. Its progress is closely watched amid intensifying competition in humanoid robotics, including from China’s Unitree Robotics.
Agility Robotics could list in the United States through a special purpose acquisition company as early as September, with market expectations pointing to a valuation of as much as $10 billion. Early investor Neng-Li Asia plans to commit an additional $10 million to the fundraising, increasing its exposure ahead of the proposed transaction. The listing would give Agility fresh capital to expand Digit’s production and commercial deployment as humanoid-robot developers race to scale.
