Ripple Expands College Sports Push With Florida XRP Deal

1 reports · First detected 2026-09-05 · Last active 2026-09-05

U.S. college athletic departments have increasingly sold on-field branding since the NCAA allowed commercial logos in 2024, creating a new revenue stream as schools absorb athlete-revenue-sharing costs. Ripple is using that opening to put XRP before large, loyal sports audiences and broaden the token’s profile beyond crypto markets. The Florida agreement extends a college-sports campaign that included a Kansas Jayhawks sponsorship earlier in summer 2026, positioning Ripple in another nationally prominent program and the Southeastern Conference.

Florida Athletics announced the multi-year partnership with Ripple on Sept. 4, 2026. XRP logos are set to appear at both 25-yard lines at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting with Florida’s Sept. 5 season opener against Florida Atlantic, with additional exposure across digital properties and event signage. Ripple will also support finance and technology education for student-athletes and the campus community. Reports put the agreement at about $5 million annually, although the parties did not disclose financial terms.
