BNB Chain Plans New Network for High-Frequency Trading and AI Agents
BNB Chain, a major global public blockchain, has long worked to improve decentralized trading. As finance and artificial intelligence converge, the public-queue model used by conventional blockchains cannot deliver the ultra-fast response times required by high-frequency trading and AI agents. BNB Chain is seeking to address this execution-layer bottleneck and give self-custody traders speed and security comparable to centralized exchanges, a potentially important development for the future of onchain high-frequency trading and the AI ecosystem.
BNB Chain plans to develop a new Layer-1 blockchain, with a testnet expected by the end of 2026 and the mainnet scheduled to go live in early 2027. The network will eliminate the public queue by streaming transactions directly, with a core target of processing more than 100,000 transactions per second. Focused on execution-layer optimization, the project aims to give self-custody traders speeds approaching those of centralized exchanges while addressing transmission bottlenecks affecting high-frequency trading and AI agents.
