Nvidia Adds $442 Billion in Historic AI-Fueled Rally
Nvidia has become the clearest public-market proxy for the global artificial intelligence infrastructure boom, supplying the accelerators that power advanced AI systems and data centers. Spending by cloud providers, technology companies and governments has made its results a key gauge of demand across the sector, while the company’s enormous market weight means sharp moves in its shares can sway major US equity indexes.
Nvidia reported record quarterly revenue and issued its strongest outlook to date, reinforcing expectations that global demand for AI infrastructure remains robust. The shares jumped 8.7% in the latest session, adding about $442 billion to the chipmaker’s market capitalization. That marked the second-largest one-day increase ever recorded by a publicly traded company and lifted Nvidia’s total market value to roughly $5.5 trillion.
