SlashData, DNI Partner to Digitize UAE Motor Insurance
Fintech and insurance digitization have become priorities in the United Arab Emirates as the country advances its Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. Traditional motor insurance is burdened by cumbersome policy processing, time-consuming manual verification and complex administrative procedures. Digital platforms that connect with government and law-enforcement agencies in real time can improve processing efficiency and streamline administration while providing an important model for the Middle East’s transition to paperless services.
Government technology company SlashData announced in late June 2026 that it had entered an undisclosed strategic partnership with Dubai National Insurance, or DNI. DNI will use the Wtheeq digital platform to digitize motor insurance. Connected to the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport and Abu Dhabi Police, the platform enables real-time data verification and automatic policy issuance, eliminating paperwork for vehicle registration and insurance renewals.
