Primitive Launches AI Agent Operating System for Financial Institutions

1 reports · First detected 2026-04-14 · Last active 2026-04-14

When regulated banks adopt AI agents, they must address more than model performance. They also need to prevent data leakage, maintain traceable operations and meet risk-management and compliance requirements. Primitive, founded by former Galileo Financial Technologies CEO Derek White, has therefore combined agent development, systems integration, governance and return-on-investment measurement in an operating system designed specifically for the financial sector.

Primitive formally launched on April 14, 2026, announcing seed backing from Fin Capital and Pelion Venture Partners without disclosing the amount. Its Assembler product can take a use case into production within 90 days. The company also announced that day that it was working with MX, which serves more than 1,700 financial institutions, to develop Growth Agent.
