Huawei Upgrades Finance Suite to Advance Agentic Banking
Banks are moving generative AI beyond customer-service assistance toward systems that can plan, coordinate and execute tasks autonomously. Huawei calls that model “Agentic Banking,” built on a hybrid AI architecture, open-source foundation models and cloud-native core systems. The company says the approach can help regulated financial institutions balance data security, compliance and operating costs while shifting customer interfaces from graphical menus to language-based interactions and backend decisions from fixed rules to knowledge-driven models.
At its 14th Intelligent Finance Summit in Shanghai on May 20-21, 2026, Huawei unveiled Financial Data Intelligence Solution 6.0, the R.A.C.E. framework and Digital CORE Solution 6.0. It also introduced nine AI agent solutions with partners including Keyrus, Sunline and TrustDecision. Huawei said the data platform could improve risk-case analysis efficiency tenfold, while its code-transpilation tool has achieved adoption of more than 90% and cut planning cycles by over half. No investment amount was disclosed; Huawei plans to train more than 10,000 finance-and-AI specialists over three years.
