Hopae Connect Adds Philippine, Indonesian IDs to Expand Southeast Asia KYC

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-21 · Last active 2026-08-21

Southeast Asia’s shift toward digital financial services has increased demand for identity checks that work across fragmented national systems. Hopae Connect is positioning its platform as shared infrastructure for banks and fintech companies, allowing them to conduct know-your-customer checks through a single interface. Connecting official identity sources can shorten onboarding times, reduce manual reviews and help financial institutions expand into neighboring markets without building separate verification systems for each country.

Hopae Connect has integrated the Philippines’ National ID and Indonesia’s national identification number, known as NIK, into its verification network. The additions give the platform access to more than 280 million identity records across the two markets, according to the event report. The expanded coverage is designed to support cross-border digital account opening and faster identity verification, while lowering operational costs for financial institutions serving customers across Southeast Asia.
