CTBC Financial Expands Eight-University Alliance to Train 300 Fintech Professionals in AI and Virtual Assets
CTBC Financial Holding has worked with National Chengchi University and other institutions on a fintech talent development program since 2022, with the initiative entering its fifth consecutive year in 2026. As generative AI, blockchain and virtual assets make faster inroads into finance, the industry is using cross-university, interdisciplinary courses to bridge academic training and practical needs and fill digital-transformation talent gaps. No investment amount was disclosed.
CTBC Financial will expand the partnership into an eight-university alliance in 2026 and expects to enroll nearly 300 students. It describes the program as Taiwan's largest joint inter-university fintech curriculum. Courses will focus on generative AI, virtual-asset tokenization and blockchain applications in finance, alongside internships at CTBC Financial and innovation competitions that allow students to apply their technical work to financial-service use cases.
