Google AI Studio Launches Tab Tab Tab, a Prompt Autocomplete Engine for Vibe Coding
Vibe Coding allows developers to direct AI to write code using natural language, but vague requirements often produce results that miss expectations, making prompt quality a critical bottleneck. Google AI Studio uses Gemini to improve the instruction-writing process at the outset, competing with tools including Cursor, Anthropic's Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
Google AI developer relations lead Logan Kilpatrick announced Tab Tab Tab on April 13, 2026. After a developer enters an initial idea, Gemini automatically expands it into a more complete and precise prompt that can be accepted by pressing Tab. The mobile version is called Tap Tap Tap. Google did not disclose separate pricing or any related financial figures at the time.
