YC Partner Tom Blomfield Joins Anthropic’s Compute Team

As generative AI advances rapidly, computing infrastructure and supply-chain management have become key battlegrounds for technology giants and startups. Anthropic, the unicorn behind the well-known Claude AI model, has raised more than $125 billion and faces enormous computing demands. In mid-July 2026, Monzo co-founder and Y Combinator partner Tom Blomfield announced that he was joining Anthropic’s compute team. He will work with DALL-E 2 inventor Tom Brown to tackle core challenges in AI infrastructure deployment and compute supply-chain management.
