Hon Hai Unveils 2026–2030 Sustainability Blueprint, Plans to Double AI-Powered Lighthouse Factories

Hon Hai Technology Group is expanding its sustainability governance beyond carbon reduction and supply-chain management to encompass AI-powered manufacturing. It will use the World Economic Forum's Lighthouse factories as a benchmark for smart-manufacturing performance. The shift will shape how the world's leading electronics contract manufacturer improves production efficiency and strengthens data governance while meeting international net-zero and ESG disclosure requirements.

Hon Hai unveiled its long-term sustainability targets for 2026–2030, setting 34 specific goals across 21 categories aligned with international frameworks and incorporating AI innovation into its core framework for the first time. The group plans to double its number of world-class Lighthouse factories over the next five years by deploying AI-powered visual inspection, digital twins and automation technologies to upgrade manufacturing and advance its low-carbon transition.
