Trump Adds Fred Ehrsam and Other Tech Leaders to Advisory Council

The U.S. President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, or PCAST, advises the president on science, technology, education and innovation policy. Trump reestablished the council in January 2025, naming White House AI and crypto policy figures David Sacks and Michael Kratsios as co-chairs, underscoring the importance of the AI and crypto industries in policymaking.

The White House most recently announced 13 new PCAST members, including Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Oracle Chief Technology Officer Larry Ellison. The appointments bring leaders from AI, chips, social media and cryptocurrency into the core of White House technology policy, continuing the Trump administration’s push to involve senior industry executives in decision-making.
