AI Server Boom Lifts Fu Chiao as Fiberglass Cloth Supply Tightens

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-20 · Last active 2026-08-20

The global buildout of AI servers and upgrades to high-speed data transmission are increasing demand for advanced printed circuit boards and the fiberglass cloth used to make them. Supply of higher-end cloth has tightened because capacity and product qualifications cannot be expanded quickly, supporting expectations for higher prices and putting Taiwan-based Fu Chiao Global in focus as a beneficiary of AI infrastructure spending.

Fu Chiao posted record quarterly profit in the second quarter, while earnings per share reached NT$2.24 in the first half, already exceeding its result for all of last year. The figures suggest stronger demand and an improving product mix are flowing through to earnings. Foreign institutional buying added momentum, sending the company’s shares to Taiwan’s daily limit-up threshold in recent trading.
