Nvidia, Wall Street Giants Mobilize Over $500 Billion for AI Buildout
The rapid expansion of generative AI has pushed up demand for GPUs, data centers and power, forcing technology companies to seek capital beyond traditional corporate budgets. Nvidia, a leading supplier of AI accelerators, is now working with major asset managers to treat compute capacity as financeable infrastructure. The initiative matters because access to long-term funding could determine how quickly scarce computing resources come online, while reviving investor concerns about circular financing between chip suppliers and their customers.
On Aug. 10, 2026, Nvidia said it would partner with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to establish independent financing platforms aimed at mobilizing more than $500 billion of third-party capital over time. The money will support AI infrastructure buildouts at what the company called attractive rates. Chief Executive Jensen Huang said the structure would help customers secure scarce compute at scale. Nvidia did not specify a deployment timetable or disclose how much each partner would contribute.
