Musk Backs $1 Trillion Starlink Valuation on AI Bandwidth Boom

SpaceX’s Starlink provides broadband through a low-Earth-orbit satellite network, making launch economics, network capacity and subscriber growth central to its valuation. The All-In podcast hosts said the business could be worth more than $1 trillion. Elon Musk agreed with that assessment and argued that it may still understate the opportunity as artificial intelligence and robotics generate sharply higher volumes of data traffic worldwide.

As of August 2026, Musk expects expanding AI and robotics use to drive explosive demand for network bandwidth. SpaceX plans to use its reusable Starship rocket to deploy a new generation of satellites, increasing Starlink’s capacity and lowering the cost of expanding the constellation. If that infrastructure buildout and demand materialize, Musk said Starlink’s annual revenue could eventually exceed $1 trillion, though the figure remains a long-term projection rather than reported sales.
