Mega Bank Partners With Whoscall on Anti-Fraud Drive, Offers 100,000 Free Premium Subscriptions
As of March 30, 2026, Taiwan's Executive Yuan anti-fraud dashboard showed nationwide losses from scams had exceeded NT$12 billion. AI-generated content and big data are also making scams more precisely targeted. Mega Bank began introducing Whoscall Verified Business Numbers across its Taiwan branches in 2025 and is now working again with Gogolook to combine caller identification with financial fraud-prevention mechanisms, strengthening safeguards for the public's assets.
Mega Bank and Whoscall parent Gogolook launched the “Fraud Prevention for All, Backed by Mega Bank” campaign on March 30, 2026. They are offering 100,000 free redemption codes for two months of Whoscall Premium, with availability not limited to Mega Bank customers. Users can download the Whoscall app and redeem a code on the official campaign website to access features including unknown-caller identification, reducing the risk of exposure to scam calls.
