Chunghwa Telecom Brings AI Courses to Rural Schools to Boost Digital Skills

Chunghwa Telecom's New Taipei operations office is promoting digital empowerment in rural schools by adding AI applications and online safety to its curriculum as generative AI becomes more widespread and the risk of internet fraud rises. The initiative aims to narrow the urban-rural digital divide and help students develop practical technology skills, information literacy and fraud awareness.

The latest program lets students try generative AI applications and teaches them to identify suspicious messages through digital anti-fraud lessons, strengthening critical digital thinking in the AI era. Existing reports did not disclose the event's exact date, participating schools or attendance. Chunghwa Telecom also did not reveal its investment or a timetable for expanding the program.
