Morgan Stanley Moves Asia Investment Summit to Taipei for First Time, Spotlighting Taiwan’s Role in Global AI Supply Chain
Morgan Stanley’s Asia Investment Summit had previously been held largely in financial centers such as Shanghai and Singapore, requiring Taiwanese companies to travel abroad to meet international investors. As AI demand spreads across chips, printed circuit boards, substrates, thermal management, power management and server assembly, Taiwan’s comprehensive supply chain has become a critical destination for global investors assessing the industry’s growth.
Morgan Stanley held the summit in Taipei for the first time on May 28, 2026, drawing more than 600 international institutional investors and over 80 companies. Participants included sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, asset managers and hedge funds. The organizer did not disclose transaction or investment amounts but said AI growth opportunities currently clearly outweigh geopolitical risks.
