Tandem Bolsters C-Suite to Accelerate Sustainable Finance Push

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-20 · Last active 2026-08-20

UK digital challenger Tandem Bank has built its growth strategy around green and “pathway-to-green” finance, including lending for energy-efficient home upgrades. The push matters because the bank is seeking to pair more sustainable consumer choices with stronger everyday finances, turning an investor-backed mission into products that can scale profitably. A strengthened executive team is intended to sharpen financial discipline, technology delivery and product execution as Tandem competes with larger banks and other digital lenders.

On Feb. 5, 2026, Tandem named Ryan Heaps chief financial officer following regulatory approval, promoting him from deputy CFO. The broader leadership refresh also includes Russell Strevens as chief technology officer, subject to regulatory approval, and David Shrimpton Davis as managing director of Motor Finance. Tandem entered 2026 with more than £1.5 billion in assets under management. Green and pathway-to-green home-improvement originations rose from £68.2 million in 2019 to £801.5 million, underscoring the scale of the strategy the new team is expected to advance.
