Emirates Launches Crypto.com Pay for UAE Flight Bookings
Emirates and Crypto.com signed a memorandum of understanding on July 9, 2025, to explore adding Crypto.com Pay to the airline’s digital payment systems. The tie-up brings regulated crypto-funded payments into a major carrier’s direct sales channels. The integration is operated by Crypto.com’s Dubai entity under a Stored Value Facilities license issued by the Central Bank of the UAE, linking digital assets with dirham-based merchant settlement.
Emirates launched Crypto.com Pay on its website and app on July 28, 2026, for eligible UAE residents with Crypto.com accounts. Mobile users are redirected to the Crypto.com app to authorize payment, while desktop customers scan a QR code before receiving confirmation and an e-ticket. Bookings are priced and settled in UAE dirhams after Crypto.com handles the conversion. The rollout supports Dubai’s goal of making 90% of government and private-sector transactions digital by the end of 2026.
