Hark Previews Handoff Browser Agent

1 reports · First detected 2026-08-06 · Last active 2026-08-06

Hark, the artificial intelligence startup founded by Brett Adcock, is developing personal intelligence systems that can operate computers for users. The company said on May 20 it raised more than $700 million in Series A funding at a $6 billion post-money valuation. Browser agents matter because few websites expose public APIs; a model that reads both page structure and visual cues can carry out tasks across services, from ordering food and booking flights to contacting job candidates.

On Aug. 5, Hark previewed its first product, Hark Handoff, opened sign-ups and said public access would begin later in August. The company said the agent uses a post-trained model to predict browser actions step by step and scored 97.7 on Online-Mind2Web, though the comparison used older rival models. Hark priced input at $0.18 per million tokens and output at $2.37 per million, and plans to begin pretraining later in 2026 to improve performance.
