Kraken Partners With MoneyGram to Launch Global Crypto Cash-Out Service
A major obstacle to broader cryptocurrency adoption is the difficulty users face in quickly converting digital assets into cash for everyday use. Kraken is addressing that gap by connecting its trading, liquidity and compliance systems with MoneyGram's network of nearly 500,000 physical service locations, expanding fiat off-ramps beyond traditional banks.
Kraken and MoneyGram announced the partnership on May 5, 2026, with an initial rollout covering markets including the United States, Europe and Latin America. Verified Kraken users can convert digital assets into hundreds of fiat currencies and collect cash in more than 100 countries, typically within 10 minutes of confirmation. The companies did not disclose the value of the partnership and plan to add local bank deposits and cross-border remittance services in the future.
