Paxos Adds Dogecoin Support in Push for Institutional Adoption
Dogecoin (DOGE), launched in 2013, originated in meme culture but has since become the largest meme coin by market capitalization. Paxos provides crypto infrastructure to platforms including PayPal, Venmo, Interactive Brokers and Mercado Libre. Adding DOGE means institutions can assess the asset through regulated brokerage and custody channels.
On June 1, 2026, House of Doge, an entity affiliated with the Dogecoin Foundation, announced a partnership with Paxos to integrate DOGE into Paxos's brokerage and custody platforms for potential adoption by fintech, payments and institutional clients. DOGE's market capitalization was about $15.53 billion at the time. The parties did not disclose the value of the deal or indicate that PayPal or Venmo would list the token immediately.
