PYMNTS Releases Digital Identity Guide to Improve Transaction Performance and Security
Digital identity is evolving from a login-verification tool into a core asset for corporate payment and transaction decisions. PYMNTS said data such as merchant identification numbers (MIDs) and payment tokens are scattered across different systems, leading to inconsistent approval processes and limiting companies' ability to detect fraud and manage risk in real time.
PYMNTS' newly released Digital Identity Playbook advocates using Orchestrated Intelligence to integrate fragmented identity layers, allowing transaction, payment and risk-management systems to share signals. The guide disclosed neither a publication date nor any monetary figures, but cited higher transaction approval rates, fewer false declines and stronger fraud detection as key benefits.
