MirroS Unveils Code-as-World to Turn Videos Into Physics Programs

MirroS has introduced Code-as-World, a framework designed to convert real-world video into executable and testable physics simulations. Rather than merely describing what appears on screen, the approach seeks to reconstruct objects, motion and interactions as MuJoCo programs. That could give robotics developers and world-model researchers a new way to turn visual observations into controllable simulation environments for training, testing and physical reasoning.

The system uses an agentic loop that observes a video, writes MuJoCo simulation code, executes it and iteratively revises the program based on the results. MirroS also released an open-source vision-language model fine-tuned from Qwen. The team said its model outperformed several open-source rivals and commercial benchmarks on physics evaluations.
