PXPay Plus Cuts Capital as iPASS Raises Funds
Competition in Taiwan’s electronic-payment market intensified after LINE Pay Money began operating independently on December 3, 2025. iPASS MONEY has faced declines in transfer and payment volumes, while PXPay Plus has continued expanding across PX Mart and Mega PX Mart locations. The companies are respectively reducing capital to offset accumulated losses and raising capital to fund operations, underscoring how providers are restructuring their finances to support marketing and ecosystem competition.
PXPay Plus’s board approved a NT$204.97 million capital reduction on March 26, 2026, equal to 19.9% of its capital, cutting paid-in capital from NT$1.03 billion to NT$825.03 million to offset losses. On April 17, iPASS said it would raise NT$300 million in cash, lowering the issue price from NT$15 to NT$10 per share. The funds are expected to be in place by year-end, and the company has budgeted NT$150 million for rewards. Its payment collection and disbursement value rose from NT$1.42 billion in January to NT$1.82 billion in March.
