Perpetual Markets MTF Secures CySEC MiCA License
The European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, known as MiCA, creates a common licensing and supervisory framework for crypto-asset service providers. It sets requirements covering client-asset protection, governance and disclosures. Approval by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, or CySEC, brings Perpetual Markets MTF within that regulated structure and provides a compliance foundation for offering digital-asset services.
Perpetual Markets MTF has received CySEC approval for a MiCA license covering several regulated activities. The authorization allows the firm to provide custody and administration of crypto-assets, execute and transmit client orders, and transfer crypto-assets on customers’ behalf. Public information accompanying the announcement did not specify a transaction value, the exact date on which the license was issued, or a timetable for launching the approved services.
