NEXT BANK, JPMorgan Launch Fully Digital Cross-Border Inbound Payment Service
The growth of cross-border e-commerce, overseas accommodation bookings and remote work has increased demand among individuals and merchants to receive funds from abroad. Traditional inbound New Taiwan dollar transfers, however, often require paper-based confirmation and can take two to three weeks. NEXT BANK has partnered with the Taipei branch of JPMorgan Chase Bank to move the foreign-currency payment collection process into its app, reducing delays and branch visits for small-value payments.
On June 15, 2026, NEXT BANK launched Taiwan's first “Express NTD Cross-Border Inward Remittance Service.” It covers individual incoming transfers of less than NT$500,000 that do not require supporting transaction documents. The service currently supports remitters in Europe and the United States. Customers can confirm transfers in the app, receive funds as soon as the next business day and pay no service fee.
