2026 CIO Survey: AI-Driven Productivity and Compliance Become Top Corporate Priorities

The 2026 CIO and CISO survey shows that generative AI (GAI) has evolved from an experimental tool into a core means of boosting corporate productivity and strengthening regulatory compliance. The financial sector is emphasizing GAI innovation and operational resilience, while manufacturers continue to pursue low-carbon IT operations and digital sustainability amid pressure from carbon fees.

The latest 2026 survey found that IT budgets at large Taiwanese companies rose 9% year on year, while 65% of companies across industries increased AI investment. Another 39% plan to expand the scale of AP migration to the cloud, with SaaS subscription fees accounting for a large share of public-cloud budgets. AI and compliance have therefore become companies’ top priorities. ESG sustainability transformation slipped slightly but remains among their 10 leading goals.
