Taishin, MasterLink Investment Consultancies Approve Merger
Taishin Securities Investment Advisory and MasterLink Securities Investment Advisory are part of Taishin Shin Kong Financial Holding’s research network. Combining the two operations is intended to consolidate analysts, sector expertise and support systems, reduce duplicated spending and broaden research coverage. The merged business is expected to serve as a central research hub supporting investment strategy, management decisions and other subsidiaries across the financial group.
The boards of Taishin Investment Advisory and MasterLink Investment Advisory approved the merger on the 9th, with Taishin set to be the surviving company and MasterLink to be dissolved. The integration will focus on research resources, personnel and back-office systems to improve operating efficiency. No transaction value, share-swap terms or effective merger date has been disclosed, and the deal remains subject to completion of the required procedures.
