NVIDIA Plans AI Server Price Hike of More Than 15%
AI servers rely heavily on high-bandwidth memory and advanced processors, making memory prices a major component of system costs. Rising expenses at suppliers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are increasing pressure on NVIDIA to pass costs through to customers. NVIDIA has informed customers and manufacturing partners that AI servers scheduled to ship from early 2027 will cost more than 15% more, according to reports. The increase is expected to cover systems using the company’s flagship chips. Investors will watch NVIDIA’s Aug. 26 earnings report for any additional guidance on memory costs, pricing strategy and supply conditions.
