Cloudflare Releases Next-Generation cf CLI Tool
Cloudflare has long enabled developers to manage its networking, security and computing services through APIs, but its portfolio has expanded to nearly 3,000 operations and its existing tool interfaces are fragmented. The next-generation cf CLI is designed to unify naming and workflows while addressing the need for AI agents to execute tasks automatically, reducing integration and maintenance costs.
Cloudflare recently released a technical preview of cf, which uses the company's TypeScript Schema format to generate commands and aims to gradually support nearly 3,000 API operations. The current focus is on validating the unified command interface and workflows for AI agents. Cloudflare has not announced a date for the general release, a timetable for full support or pricing.
