Industry reports indicate InP substrate prices have risen three times in succession, with one supplier describing availability as so constrained that buyers cannot secure material even when willing to pay. Their laser components rely on indium phosphide (InP) epitaxial materials. LandMark Optoelectronics, VPEC and IET-KY have recently expanded their MOCVD equipment fleets and invested in InP research and development to meet demand for optical communications at 800G and above.
