Nasdaq-100 Overhaul Adds CoreWeave and Three Other AI-Related Stocks

3 reports · First detected 2026-06-12 · Last active 2026-06-17

The Nasdaq-100 comprises the largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq and serves as a key benchmark for about $800 billion in passive and index-linked assets. The reshuffle increases the weight of AI infrastructure and commercial space companies while setting a precedent for large, newly listed businesses to gain rapid inclusion. That has prompted investors to assess the possibility of SpaceX joining the index after a future listing.

Nasdaq Global Indexes announced that the Nasdaq-100 will undergo five additions and five removals effective June 22. The new constituents include Rocket Lab and AI infrastructure providers CoreWeave, Nebius and Astera Labs. CoreWeave has also received favorable analyst coverage, and news of its inclusion lifted its shares. Passive funds tracking the index will adjust their holdings to reflect the new weightings.
