Justin Sun Launches AI Detective System to Combat On-Chain Crime
TRON has long worked to strengthen its defenses against on-chain crime. In September 2024, it formed the T3 Financial Crime Unit with stablecoin issuer Tether and blockchain intelligence company TRM Labs to track illicit fund flows. Justin Sun’s move to introduce AI into case analysis reflects the crypto industry’s use of technology and cross-border cooperation to address compliance pressures involving money laundering, fraud and other crimes.
Sun announced in July 2026 the launch of his team’s internally developed “AI Detective System,” saying it had already analyzed criminal cases involving more than $1 billion. He also plans to allocate $100 million to reward white-hat contributors and law enforcement agencies that provide leads or technical assistance. The system will be deployed first in jurisdictions including China, Hong Kong, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
