Far Eastern International Bank Sets NT$0.6335 Dividend, Plans NT$10 Billion Private Placement
Far Eastern International Bank is balancing shareholder returns with the capital needed to expand its banking operations and fund technology upgrades. Retaining capital is particularly important for lenders facing regulatory requirements and rising investment in digital services. The proposed introduction of strategic investors could also provide the Taiwan-based bank with technology, distribution and business-development resources beyond the proceeds raised.
The bank’s board approved a 2025 dividend of NT$0.6335 per share, comprising NT$0.514 in cash and NT$0.1195 in stock. It also cleared a private placement of up to 1 billion common shares, with total fundraising targeted at as much as NT$10 billion. Far Eastern International Bank said the transaction is intended to bring in strategic investors, strengthen competitiveness and support investment in digital innovation.
