Chang Hwa Bank Ranks in Top 5% for Corporate Governance for Fifth Straight Year
The Corporate Governance Evaluation, conducted by the Taiwan Stock Exchange and Taipei Exchange, assesses shareholder rights, board operations, information disclosure and sustainable development. It is an important benchmark for investors evaluating corporate governance. Chang Hwa Bank has disclosed a “Corporate Value Enhancement Plan” in recent years and established a Sustainable Development Committee under its board, incorporating governance, climate issues and financial consumer protection into decision-making.
On April 30, 2026, the Taiwan Stock Exchange released the 12th evaluation for 2025, placing Chang Hwa Bank among the top 5% of listed companies for a fifth consecutive year. A total of 1,009 listed companies and 801 over-the-counter companies were evaluated, with only 50 listed companies making the top 5%. The bank has also introduced ISO 14064-1 greenhouse-gas inventories and the ISO 50001 energy management system, while strengthening its personal-data policies, contract transparency and complaint-handling mechanisms.
