8 reports · First detected 2026-03-24 · Last active 2026-05-07

Arm has long focused on licensing CPU architectures and core designs to chipmakers including Apple and Qualcomm. Its first in-house data-center processor marks its entry into chip sales after 35 years in business. As agentic AI drives greater inference demand, Arm aims to expand its share of the cloud-server market dominated by Intel and AMD.

Arm's newly unveiled AGI CPU targets AI inference workloads and will be manufactured by TSMC using its 3-nanometer process. Meta is the launch customer, while OpenAI, Cloudflare and SAP have also committed to adopting it. Arm estimates that the product could generate $15 billion in revenue by 2031 and is targeting total company revenue of $25 billion by 2030.
