Swiss Crypto Bank Sygnum Launches Service Targeting $100 Billion Corporate Crypto Treasury Market

1 reports · First detected 2026-02-26 · Last active 2026-02-26

Corporate crypto treasuries have surpassed $100 billion, but many companies still lack regulated asset-allocation, risk-management and hedging frameworks. Public companies hold about 1.13 million Bitcoin, while private companies hold another 287,990, worth roughly $97 billion combined. This has left a significant gap in the institutional market for professional management services.

On February 26, 2026, Swiss digital-asset bank Sygnum launched Sygnum Select, bringing the discretionary portfolio model used in traditional banking to crypto assets. The service debuted with about $200 million in assets under management and covers spot assets, staking, hedging, derivatives, tokenized securities and market-neutral strategies. It is initially available only to clients in Switzerland.

BancaStato Launches Regulated Crypto Trading with Sygnum2026-07-27 · 3 reports · similarity 0.81

BancaStato, the cantonal bank of Switzerland’s Ticino region, is bringing digital assets into its mainstream banking channels through regulated crypto bank Sygnum. The arrangement allows clients to access cryptocurrencies without moving funds to a separate exchange, while Sygnum provides institutional-grade custody. The rollout underscores a broader push by Swiss banks to embed digital assets within familiar, regulated financial services rather than leave customers to rely on external crypto platforms.

The companies announced the service on July 23, 2026, after connecting Sygnum’s API to BancaStato’s Avaloq core banking system and digital channels. Customers can now buy, hold and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Solana through the bank’s existing web and mobile applications, with the assets held in Sygnum’s custody infrastructure. BancaStato also joins more than 25 banks and international financial institutions using Sygnum’s B2B platform. No investment amount or customer pricing was disclosed.
