Cathay SITE Sees Three Tailwinds Driving Strong Bitcoin and Stablecoin Growth

1 reports · First detected 2026-04-02 · Last active 2026-04-02

Cathay Securities Investment Trust said digital assets have expanded beyond standalone cryptocurrency investments to encompass stablecoin payments, real-world asset tokenization and AI computing infrastructure. The United States’ addition of Bitcoin to its strategic national reserve in 2025 showed that policymakers and institutional investors were beginning to view crypto assets as part of the financial system, providing important support for the sector’s long-term outlook.

At an April 8, 2026, media briefing titled “On-Chain AI: Decoding the New Digital Asset Landscape,” Cathay SITE said Bitcoin had climbed to $120,000, buoyed by favorable U.S. policies. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent estimated that the stablecoin market could reach $2 trillion by the end of 2028. Some Bitcoin miners are also shifting into AI cloud computing and high-performance data centers to develop new revenue streams.
