Google Broadens Gemini Spark Access to Global Ultra, US Pro Users
Google introduced Gemini Spark at its I/O developer conference in May 2026 as a 24/7 personal AI agent powered by Gemini 3.5 and built on its Antigravity architecture. Unlike a conventional chatbot, Spark runs in the cloud and can continue scheduled tasks after a laptop is closed or a phone is locked. Its links to Personal Intelligence, Gmail and Google Workspace let it organize inboxes, monitor news and compile research, underscoring Google’s push from AI answers toward software that can act for users.
Google said on July 14 that Spark was rolling out in all Gemini Apps languages to Google AI Ultra subscribers wherever the service is supported, including Taiwan, but excluding the European Economic Area, Britain, Switzerland and Nigeria. On July 16, the company began extending the English-language service to Google AI Pro subscribers in the United States. The update also added Workspace actions, including editing private spreadsheets and presentations, reading comments and revising shared documents, while keeping sensitive actions such as purchases or sending emails subject to user approval.

The history behind this eventGoogle Brings Gemini Spark Agent to Chrome
Google is expanding Gemini from an information assistant into an agent capable of acting on a user’s behalf. By embedding Gemini Spark in Chrome, the company is positioning its browser as a gateway for AI-driven online tasks that span multiple services, potentially reducing the time users spend comparing options, entering information and navigating booking or scheduling workflows.
The latest integration allows Gemini Spark, with user authorization, to operate across websites and complete multistep assignments such as arranging home viewings or searching for flights. Google is retaining human control over higher-risk actions: when a workflow reaches a sensitive stage, including payment, the agent hands the process back to the user for review and completion, providing a safeguard for privacy and security.
Google Launches Personalized Gemini Service in Taiwan With Gmail and Photos Integration
Google’s generative AI assistant Gemini is expanding beyond general-purpose queries into personalized services by connecting, with users’ permission, to data from Gmail, Google Photos and YouTube. The feature can reason across emails, photos and video histories to help organize itineraries and retrieve details from users’ lives, further embedding the AI assistant in Google’s ecosystem.
Google rolled out Gemini’s “Personal Intelligence” service to users in Taiwan in July 2026, initially integrating information from Gmail, Google Photos and YouTube. It also expanded Gemini in Chrome with cross-tab summaries and tighter integration with Google tools. Google said users must actively authorize data connections and that private content will not be used directly to train its models.
