HONOR Unveils First Robot Phone With AI-Powered Gimbal

HONOR is positioning the Robot Phone as a step beyond conventional AI smartphones, combining an intelligent handset with a physically movable camera system. The concept is significant because it shifts AI from purely digital assistance toward “embodied intelligence,” in which a device can perceive its surroundings and respond through movement. The product also signals HONOR’s push into a new AI-imaging category as smartphone makers seek differentiation beyond software-only features.

HONOR has formally unveiled its first Robot Phone, built around a 4DoF titanium-alloy gimbal designed to give the camera four degrees of movement. The device runs Agentic OS, which provides a system-level agent architecture, and combines ARRI professional imaging capabilities with HONOR’s YOYO multimodal perception system. The package targets active framing, environmental awareness and more autonomous interaction, bringing AI agents and robotic motion together in a single mobile device.
